Sounds more like an attempt to extort money out of profitable companies.
And just to show you that these groups are paranoid, they're also accusing the companies of conspiracy.

_Your_ conspiracy theory is the dumb oneSubmitted by Frank Bi on Thu, 2008-02-28 18:11.
"Sounds more like an attempt to extort money out of profitable companies." Oh yeah, Alaskans are being forced to relocate because the sea levels are acting up, so it's _merely_ a way to extort money. Sure. "And just to show you that these groups are paranoid, they're also accusing the companies of conspiracy." ExxonMobil and friends' activities in funding front groups and churning out junk are well-documented and widely known. Unlike you denialists' so-called "theory" of a Worldwide Academic Conspiracy to Create a New World Order of Gaiaism -- a theory based on a huge pile of nothing. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- » reply

Will this trial be AGW's "Dover Trial"
There are strong similarities between the way proponents of Intelligent Design and AGW deniers operate. I hope that this case, assuming it goes to trial, will do to the AGW deniers what the Dover Trial did to the supporters of Intelligent Design i.e.. show that their whole case is based on shoddy science, fraud and distortion of the truth.
Hopefully the trial will have a judge as knowledgeable and fair as Judge Jones.
