Okay, I admit, I'm not very good at video editing, but check out this video that the DeSmog team put together called “Who do believe: junk scientist vs. real scientist?”

Inhofe's last stand

Senator Jim Inhofe, outgoing Chair of the Senate Committee of the Envrionment and Public Works, and one of the most infamous climate change deniers in the GOP Caucus, now claims that the United Nations meeting on climate change currently underway in Nairobi is nothing more than a “brainwashing session.” So what are we to make of this? Who cares?

CBC's 5th Estate slams the "Denial Machine" tonight

For all you Canadian DeSmog fans, tune in at 9pm to CBC's 5th Estate for a special documentary on the climate change “denial machine.” Watch the likes of Fred Singer, Tim Ball and Pat Michaels squirm in the media hot seat.

For our US readers, not to worry, I'm sure this piece will get popped on YouTube pretty darn quick.

Deniers "cock a hoop" over latest junk science

Monbiot's column in the Gaurdian today lays out nicely just how far the climate change deniers are willing to stretch their definition of “sound science.” Junk scientists and their cadre of misfits gleefully filled Monbiots inbox with messages like “your scam exposed” and “how do you feel now asshole.” Unfortunately, the only scam to expose is the information climate change deniers pawn off as science.

Open Market not open for discussion

As part of DeSmog's daily scan of who's saying what and where about climate

change, we of course troll the numerous blogs run by the climate change denial lobby. One thing that is striking is the number of these blogs that do not allow you to comment on the posts they write.

Here are a couple of examples, the Competitive Enterprise Institute's blog, the “Open” Market and the Cato Institute's Cato-at-Liberty.

This is “blog spin” pure and simple. By not allowing comments on your site, there is no sharing of ideas or disagreement, which is one of the best features, if not the most most important and beneficial aspects, of blog technology.

So Cato and CEI, get down from your preaching pulpit and open up your blogs to your fans and, of course, your detractors. What are you afraid of?
