Encana: Creepy, manipulative PR with icing on top

Gas fraccing giant Encana has scripted a bunch of pre-schoolers to pretend to understand or care about shale gas and hydraulic fracturing. This creepy video shows the depths the oil industry will “drill” to in order to put a happy face on their efforts to spread pollution, above and below ground.

This is really low level pandering… Propagandists really should be ashamed of this one.

“Creepy” is right … yakking it up with a bunch of kids barely out of nappies and thinking this is where the PR action is. All that’s missing is a shot of EncanaGuy slicing the cake and slurping up the sparkly icing with his new group of acolytes, as further proof of Encana’s good will.

This is just lower than low. Why don’t they tell the kids…Your wells can get poisoned and you could die of cancer!
