As the public anxiously awaits the U.S. State Department’s final decision on the fate of the Keystone XL Pipeline, the discussion has largely ignored the elephant in the room: the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA.)
Thanks to NAFTA, signed into law by President Bill Clinton in 1994, the State Department will likely be able to do little more than stall the pipeline’s construction. In its simplest form, NAFTA removes barriers for North American countries wishing to do business in or...

Terrific report... thanks for this research.
I had a gut feeling about him.. but it is nice to see it validated with your research
Now I am stunned that most of this information is covered up or overlooked. There are so many simple ways to mention these facts...I will look for various news media outlets to call attention or even mention it.... But I will not hold my breath.
Thanks for all that you do.

I have a post pointing to this in moderation at Joe Romm's CP:

He's a kleptocrat, far right extremist. A plutocrat.
The numbers speak for themselves. He been bought for cheap.
He's also been denying that he's an Ayn Rand believer. This is an obvious thing to do because she is toxic to conservative values. She was athiest and supported gay rights.
I would respectfully point out that extremist views such Ayn Rand's Objectivism or Libertarianism are failed concepts, much like communism. On paper it looks good. In reality its twisted and manipulated.
Check out Ayn Rand's 'values'; (Great news! Inspired by Nietzsche!)

He's sincere and consistent
What drives Ryan is his Randian influence. So, he disagrees with Rand's atheism, though that leaves the rest of her philosophy in doubt.
Ryan's voting record, as noted in the article, is consistent in that they all oppose government regulation. It's about pure, unfettered, laissez-faire practice. And that is core to Rand's philosophy. That he is funded by fossil fuel interests may be secondary - their money just makes him more visible.
It seems that Ryan likely still hangs on the philosophy of Rand, as seen here in one of his campaign videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmW19uoyuO8
