“There are 11 million alternative fuel autos on the road today,” exclaims The Alliance for Automobile Manufacturers (AAM) website.

The AAM has a long history of fighting emission standards, so it's no wonder why a headline like “11 million alternative fuel autos on the road today” would jump out at anyone familiar with the Alliance and their not-so-environmentally friendly activities.

The Toyota Technique: Talking Out of Both Sides of Your Mouth

Toyota, the world's new number one automaker has been winning praise far and wide for the fuel efficiency of its fleet. And Toyota Vice President Josephine Cooper said in a recent TV interview that “Toyota has long supported increasing fuel economy standards for vehicles, which means increasing CAFE [Corporate Average Fuel Efficiency] standards.”

This would be noble if it were true.

Bush Ignores Supreme Court, continues legacy of carbon denial and confusion

With Bush brushing off yesterday's landmark global warming decision by the Supreme Court we continue to recrod for posterity what will no doubt be a legacy of foot-dragging and global warming denial by the Bush administration.

We have seen reports of political interference in global warming science spanning most of Bush's tenure as president.
