Stewart Interview with Seattle Man Opposing Gore Film in Schools

Remember the story a couple of months ago about the “outraged parents” who didn't want Al Gore's Inconvenient Truth aired in Seattle schools?

The opposition came from Frosty Hardison a father of seven who at the time stated: “Condoms don't belong in school, and neither does Al Gore. He's not a schoolteacher.”

Check out the video below from a recent Jon Stewart episode. The Daily Show actually tracked down Mr. Hardison. And to end with what is becoming a regular refrain here at DSBlog: seriously, we're not making this up.

Al Gore's Energy Bill: The Power of Tattletelling

The Tennessee Centre for Policy Research claims to be an independent and non-partisan policy think tank, a characterization that is hard to sustain since the Centre made itself famous by releasing a hyped account of Al Gore's personal electricity consumption.

Newspaper prescribes "the Swindle" for schoolchildren

The Vancouver Province newspaper is responding to a suggestion that British Columbia school children should enjoy the Inconvenient Truth by urging educators to also expose B.C.’s young people to a good climate Swindle .

The editorial in the Vancouver Province newspaper today starts out innocently enough with an account of a local businessman, Will Cole-Hamilton, who would like to put a copy of Al Gore’s Inconvenient Truth in every high school in the province of British Columbia.

“And why not?” the editorial states, “the issue of global warming looks set to dominate public discourse for some time to come.”

The editorial then takes a turn into the land of global warming fantasy, suggesting that in the name of “presenting an unbiased” view, B.C. students should also watch Channel 4 documentary The Great Global Warming Swindle.

Heartland Institute and puzzling "genius" throw down Gore debate gaunlet

Just when you thought the global warming denial lobby couldn't get any stranger and desperate, well… they go and get stranger and more desperate. Christopher Monckton, who is the Viscount of Brenchley, but is better known as a puzzlemaker, has teamed up with the oil-industry darling Heartland Institute in challenging former Vice President Al Gore to a global warming debate.

An advertisement pronouncing “Challenge debate: global warming is not a crisis” appeared in today's Washington Post, according to a press release sent out by the Heartland Institute.

Gore says global-warming evidence as solid as gravity

The former U.S. vice-president told a Swedish audience: “If the crib is on fire, you don’t speculate that the baby is flame retardant.” He was joined by EU Commissioner Margot Wallstrom, who said it’s important people understand there’s more to climate change than a few degrees difference in temperature.
