Background

The Liberty Institute is a free market think tank located in New Delhi, India. Founded in 1996, it describes itself as "dedicated to empowering the people by harnessing the power of the market." and it seeks to "build understanding and appreciation of the four institutional pillars of a free society – Individual Rights, Rule of Law, Limited Government and Free Market." [1]

VA-SEEE

Background

The Northern Virginia Chapter of Scientists and Engineers for Energy and Environment (VA-SEEE) is a coalition whose goal is to "influence public policy in the areas of energy and environment, and to provide sound information to politicians, the media, and the public in the Commonwealth." [1]

VA-SEEE describes its mission as to "influence our policy makers toward decisions based on good science and real world understanding."

Berlin Manhattan Institute for Free Enterprise (BMI)

Background

The Berlin Manhattan Institute for Free Enterprise (BMI) describes itself as Germany's free market think tank and successor to the Institute for Free Enterprise (IUF).

According to their website, the BMI "advocates policies that promote entrepreneurial initiative, creativity, innovation and competition." [1]

Ayn Rand Institute (ARI)

Background

The Ayn Rand Institute (ARI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Irvine, California. According to ARI's website, it "works to introduce young people to Ayn Rand’s novels, to support scholarship and research based on her ideas, and to promote the principles of reason, rational self-interest, individual rights and laissez-faire capitalism to the widest possible audience."
