The WorldWatch Institute is reporting that climate change and environment policy is playing a role like never before in the national elections currently underway in India.
“Perhaps for the first time in India’s election history, both Congress and the BJP-the two leading contenders-give fairly significant mention to climate change and the environment in their manifestos,” writes WWI research fellow Anna da Costa.
Democracy is utterly dependent upon an electorate that is accurately informed. In promoting climate change denial (and often denying their responsibility for doing so) industry has done more than endanger the environment. It has undermined democracy.
There is a vast difference between putting forth a point of view, honestly held, and intentionally sowing the seeds of confusion. Free speech does not include the right to deceive. Deception is not a point of view. And the right to disagree does not include a right to intentionally subvert the public awareness.
Crop Failures
In India, 1500 farmers from the agricultural state of Chattisgarh committed suicide as the areas was hit by falling water levels. Climate change and industrial activities contributed to the falling water levels. The locals are dying in India, and it is a forbodding example of what is coming around the world as global warming takes hold.
No wonder global warming is an election issue in India this time!!

Dear Sir
I am very much interested in saving over environment.
I am working on it from last 4 to 5 years.
Luckily I found one solution for global warming.
I designed equipment (global heat sink) which can solve this problem to some extent.
It is simple and effective.
The cost of making it is also very low.
I will be glad to discuss regarding it.
I need your help in implementing this project.
I request you to share my ideas with the respected people who are working on it
