This week, under questioning from opposition MPs, Natural Resources Minister Joe Oliver confirmed that his department intends to spend up to 16.5 million dollars on advertising in the upcoming year. Further details on how this taxpayer-funded PR campaign for Canada's natural resources will be run were lacking.

No Kidding; We're Green
In further pursuing "the truth about global warming," (see next post), I've stumbled upon the Grinning Planet website which claims to be "saving the planet, one joke at a time." Alas, GP stumbled into the subject of climate change and found it, mostly, unfunny.
Still, they retread a great old lawyer joke and cover the material nicely in a post entitled: Political Lies, Political Truth, and Global Warming.

Global Warming
To me, I would say that global warming is a sign from mother Earth. Not just any regular everyday sign, a sign persuading it's visitors to keep her healthy. Due to global warming some of our natural wonders are wasting away, even our most iciest continent is beginig to vanish. Global warming has caused hazordous and harsh climates, rises and drops in tempature and other horrible things. I believe tyhat it is time for us, we as a people, to help save our temperary home.
