Oregon Bracing for Climate Refugees

Portland Metro Council President David Bragdon, says that mass migrations caused by climate change "the potential wild card" in the planning effort to ensure Oregon's biggest city has the capacity to accommodate growth expected in the coming decades.
Droughts, wildfires, hurricanes and tornadoes all present risks in other parts of the U.S. and Oregon, which already accepts 20,000 migrant Californians a year, is worried about what happens if that population suddenly explodes with large numbers of refugees from other parts of the country .
China want's to export 150 million so called "refugees" to other parts of the world.
but they'll be among the first.
Along with southern Calis, that is.
Maybe they'll come from Alaska if this cooling trend keeps up. Unusually cold start to the winter up there.

Well it turns out they just wanted some financial aid. They are still there and the beaches are right where they always were. Go look.
The council of Portland is just trying to setup the background for their soon to be submitted request for federal money.
Everybody want to cash in on the scam of the century before it tanks.

Portland is a great destination for reasons other than climate change. Of course it's going to grow. Low taxes, perfect weather. close to great beaches. Hey I want to move there too.
But Rick, Portland, like the rest of the world, is going to be ruined by climate change. Haven't you kept up to date with the Gorisms? The city is doomed. By the time you get there, the few remaining denizens will be scuttling through the ruins and eating each other.
Holy jeez, inactivists say people should "adapt", and then when people actually try to "adapt", the inactivists claim that it's because the governments just "want to cash in on the scam".
Apparently, in the mind of inactivists, anything and its opposite can be proof that The Fundamentals Are Strong.

If the coming winter in eastern Canada is anything like the last one, I may apply to Portland Oregon for refugee status.
I hate Canadian winters too.
Don't refugees get free food, free lodging and help getting a job? Heck, I might become a refugee too.
