Fox News host John Stossel says that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has passed its prime, and is no longer useful. After the Obama Administration last week overruled the EPA’s smog regulations, Stossel took to the airwaves on the Fox Business Channel to tell us that the EPA is no longer a worthwhile organization. Stossel told us: “Thank goodness for the EPA…The air and water are cleaner than they use to be. But they passed those rules. It’s diminishing returns. They have done a wonderful job, stop already. Stick a fork in it, it’s done.”

One of the more popular excuses right now among those who still seem to think global warming is a "myth" made up by left-wing scientists and an underground network of communist politicians, is the fact that in the earth's long history scientists have observed that increases of CO2 in our atmosphere have lagged behind rises in temperature.

No, Stossel shouldn't be embarrassed, he's well past that point. ABC News should be though, over Stossel's climate change denial piece set to air tonight. 

Stossel writes:

But is it a crisis? The globe is warming, but is it really all our fault? And is it true the debate is over? No. What you think you know may not be so."

We've all heard the oil industry and the coal industry and their indentured servants in the political process telling us that global climate stability is a luxury that we can't afford — that we have to choose now between economic prosperity on the one hand and environmental protection on the other.

And that is a false choice.

Strange how Al Gore and Bill Clinton are blamed for scientific forecasts.  The skeptics have to twist themselves out of shape to ignore the findings of more than 2,000 scientists from 100 countries who have agreed since 1995 that weather extremes are the first marker of early-stage global warming!
