The Koch brothers and their fossil fuel industry allies are waging a major campaign to rebrand oil and gas as “innovative” and “sustainable” energy solutions, and to limit consumer choice by attacking clean energy and electric vehicles.
The messaging strategy is embodied in the Fueling U.S. Forward campaign organized by a team of Koch affiliates and veteran Washington spin doctors. Another example is the American Petroleum Institute’s new multi-year “Power Past Impossible” ad series touting fossil fuels.
